University of Pretoria: Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Science Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Meteorology Advisory Committee meeting

The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Pretoria is the largest of its kind in Africa. The internationally acclaimed institutes, centres and units are aligned to the Faculty to address global challenges, such as sustainable energy, safe water, biodiversity and conservation, climate change and natural disasters, through a range of multidisciplinary research programmes. The BSc Geoinformatics and BSc Hons Geoinformatics programs presented by the department are accredited by the South African Geomatics Council. The Advisory Committee looks after the Geoinformatics programs at the University of Pretoria and liaises in a formal and structured way and on a regular basis with all sectors of the industry. The aim is to assist the department with developing and maintaining programs that meet the requirements of industry and the workplace, both locally and internationally.
