AfriGIS hosts 41st successful Data Show

Quality data resulting in innovative, world-class solutions

Technology innovation company, AfriGIS, held their 41st successful Data Show at Bytes Conference Centre in Midrand on 6 June 2013.

“Highlights of the latest data release include the improvement of the Deeds and Cadastre links, enhanced allocation of Farm Names to Farm Portions, specific areas, like Welkom, updated on the Street Centreline database and more than 60 000 addresses in the City of Johannesburg added on the AfriGIS NAD”, Christopher Ueckermann, AfriGIS Data Manager explained.

Other additions included in the May 2013 release were more than:

200 Suburbs
200 Surveyor General Towns
2,200 links in Street Centrelines
103,000 Street Addresses
24,800 Land Parcels
380 Sectional Schemes
2,400 Points of Interest
620 Gated Communities</P

In addition to the quarterly data release highlights, a Developer Session was included in the morning’s events. The session provided the delegates with more information on application programming interface (API) services, which are provided by AfriGIS.
